Serving God in a counter cultural world

 



Sometimes the world around us may be shaking, and the earth beneath us moving but it is then that we must remember

Psalm 46:1

GOD is our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble.

Psalm 46:2-4

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains be shaken into the midst of the seas,

Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling and tumult. Selah 

There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.

When other things threaten to be the way we must remember

John 14:6

Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.

He is the only way.

When other things promise to bless you remember

Ephesians 1:3

May blessing be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ Who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm!

He is the blessing.

When your identity is shaken remember

Ephesians 1:5

For He foreordained us , to be adopted  as His own children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will 

You are predestined and adopted as a child of God through Jesus Christ.
