Seeing ourselves as God sees us

 






Genesis 1:27 says, " so God created man in His own image and likeness of God He created him; male and female he created them."

Genesis 1:31, " And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good ( suitable, pleasant) and He approved it completely. And there was evening and there was morning, a sixth day"

He further told them , Genesis 1:28 " And God blessed them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it( using all it's vast resources in service of God and man ); and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth".

It is clear that God's first assignment to man was to subdue the earth and to have dominion over everything in it. So when David says ,Psalms 139:14 " I will confess and praise You for You are fearful and wonderful and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are Your works, and that my inner self knows right well ". It means that you being made in the image and likeness of God, fearfully and wonderfully made should subdue the earth and have Dominion over everything in it.
