  Sometimes the world around us may be shaking, and the earth beneath us moving but it is then that we must remember Psalm 46:1 GOD is our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble. Seeing ourselves as God sees us

  Genesis 1:27 says, " so God created man in His own image and likeness of God He created him; male and female he created them." Genesis 1:31, " And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good ( suitable, pleasant) and He approved it completely. And there was evening and there was morning, a sixth day" He further told them , Genesis 1:28 " And God blessed them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it( using all it's vast resources in service of God and man ); and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth". It is clear that God's first assignment to man was to subdue the earth and to have dominion over everything in it. Attracting God's favour through fasting

 Fasting Defined: Fasting is a spiritual discipline that is taught in the Bible. Jesus expected his followers to fast, and he said that God rewards fasting. Fasting, according to the Bible, means voluntarily reducing or eliminating your intake of food for a specific for a specific time and purpose. Matthew 4:2 And he went without food for forty days and forty nights, and later he was hungry Daniel 10:3 I ate no pleasant or desirable food, nor did any meat or wine come into my mouth and I did not anoint myself at all for the full three weeks Why fast: 1. Fasting helps us draw near to God 2. Surrender ourselves to God 3. Hear God's direction 4. Steel ourselves with determination to do God's will 5. It helps grow our faith 6.
